Manipur TET : TET results out


IMPHAL, May 24: The results of the Teacher Eligibility Test, 2013 conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur was announced today.
According to statistics provided by the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur altogether 39,083 candidates had enrolled themselves for the exam which is conducted in two papers, Paper I and Paper II; however 36039 candidates appeared with only 14,979 candidates passing the exam.
The total pass percentage stood at a low 41.56 percent.
In Paper I, Churachanpur district recorded the highest pass percentage  with 7.41percent of the total pass, while Jiribam sub-division had the lowest pass percentage against the total at 0.53percent.
While, Bishnupur district recorded the highest pass percentage of 64.60 percent (district wise) in Paper I, Tamenglong had only 18.81 pass percentage in the Paper.
Churachandpur had the highest number of candidates with 5073 candidates enrolling themselves for the exam with 4754 candidates appearing for the exam and 1963 candidates declared pass.
Amongst the valley districts, Thoubal had a pass percentage of 61.53 percent, while Imphal West had a pass percentage of 61.15percent, Imphal East had a pass percentage of 60.44 percent and Jiribam sub Division had a pass percentage of 61.14.
In the hill districts, Ukhrul had 22.39 pass percentage, Senapati had 24.58 pass percentage out of 3003 candidates enrolled and 2836 appearing the exam; Tamenglong had 18.81 pass percentage while Chandel had 35.25 pass percent.
The total pass percentage in Paper I is 42.59 percent.
In Paper II, the total pass percentage is 38.72 with Bishnupur district recording the highest pass percentage with 62.25 percent and Ukhrul recording the lowest pass percentage at 17.80 percent
