TET Candidate's Age Crossed 40 Years, However She claimed that TET Certificate Valid for 5 Years And Therefore She is Eligible, Writ Dismissed By Court

Abhyarthee ki umra 40 saal se oopar ho gayee thee, Lekin TET certificate ki 5 Saal Ki Validity Dekkar Bhramit Ho gayee, Aur 40 Saal Umra Paar Karne Ke Baad Bhee Vhe Swyam ko Teacher Bhrtee ke Liye Paatr Maan Rahee Thee.

Court ne Uskee Writ  Ko Kharij Kar Diya

See Judgement :-

HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT ALLAHABAD

?Court No. - 1

Case :- WRIT - A No. - 61388 of 2013

Petitioner :- Smt. Shipra Tiwari Alias Shipar
Respondent :- Basic Shiksha Adhikari Deoria And 2 Ors.
Counsel for Petitioner :- Nitesh Kumar Srivastava,Manvendra Nath Singh
Counsel for Respondent :- C.S.C.,Shyam Krishna Gupta

Hon'ble Vikram Nath,J.
Heard learned counsel for the parties.
Admittedly, the petitioner is more than 40 years on the cut off date mentioned in the advertisement, which provided maximum age limit to be 40 years. In that view of the matter petitioner is not eligible to apply.
The argument advanced on behalf of the petitioner is that as the petitioner has passed Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) Examination 2011 and the certificate mentions that TET is valid for 5 years, the petitioner claims that he is still eligible to apply as five years have not passed.
The argument is misconceived as the TET certificate cannot enlarge the age prescribed in the advertisement for selection to the post of Assistant Teacher.
Petition being devoid of merits is accordingly dismissed.
